Finka Table & Tap

This past weekend I checked out Finka Table and Tap in Miami for the first time. This place has a cool hipster vibe and the food was nothing short of incredible! Upon walking in, it is very dark, with small light bulbs hanging across the ceiling. The decor has a vintage yet modern feel. They offer great cocktails, a variety of beers, and a fully loaded bar. The food is innovative, categorizing themselves as Latin and Korean. The dishes are classic with an interesting twist. The food and drinks menu is known to change constantly. Everything we ordered was recommended by our waiter and we were not disappointed. The staff was extremely attentive and knowledgeable.

His and Hers: In the front is the Oxtail with mushroom risotto. It was an AMAZING Oxtail, probably one of the best I've ever tried. The only thing I would say is that it was a little on the salty side, not only the meat but the rice too. I just wish they would have laid off the salt a little and I would have enjoyed it more.

Here's another picture of the Oxtail. The ambiance was really dark so it was hard getting a clear picture.

Now this is the reason I will definitely come back to Finka. This is the brisket and sweet garlic mashed potatoes. The brisket was cooked perfectly and just melts in your mouth and the mashed potatoes was delicious!

LOVED this drink. This is called "Kiss from a Rose." It has vodka, watermelon, and egg white with a rose petal on top. Adorable and tasty!

Parking lot outfit of the night. Simple yet cute.

Overall, I loved Finka. Food and drinks were innovative and well made, service was wonderful, and the decor was beautiful. Oh! and it was very affordable too, the plates range from about $11 to $30 which equals a perfect date night or girls night out. One thing to note is they do not take reservations on the weekends. Our original wait time on a Saturday night was 1 hour- 1 hour and a half. Fortunately, my boyfriend knew a waiter there so we were lucky enough to seat in 20 minutes. It was jammed packed the whole night. If you are willing to wait, it's definitely worth it!
